I arrived in Taiwan on July 2003, straight after my PhD graduation in the University of Leicester. Never in my mind that i will embark the journey in Antenna Design as my PhD thesis was in VHF/UHF Wave Propagation. This AP research Lab was formed when i joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Feng Chia University, in Aug 2007. At this moment, this lab is now located in the new Microwave and Antenna Innovation Center on Feb 2016. Thanks to all the present / past postgraduate students, and many other undergraduate students who have dedicated their time to realize the antennas design that i have proposed to them, our antenna studies in this Lab become fruitful especially after 2009, in which approximately 70 SCI papers were published within a short period of 8 yrs (2009~2016). Even though in many occasions we fall short of funding, many people (Professors from the Southern part of Taiwan) have came to our aid so that we can complete our antenna fabrication/measurement. At difficult times, this Lab has never cease to study new antenna designs, hoping to pave a new way to get new funding. My wishes in 2017 for this Lab is to grow and excel in every way.
