A Novel 28 GHz Beam Steering Array for 5G Mobile Device With Metallic Casing Application

The design of a novel practical 28 GHz beam steering phased array antenna for future fifth generation mobile device applications is proposed here. The proposed cavity-backed slot antenna element can operate within 27.5–30 GHz.
